Service Description
Heartnurse CPR’s Medication Assistance Provider (MAP) course is designed to train caregivers, healthcare support staff, and direct care professionals on the safe and effective assistance with medication administration. This course follows state-approved guidelines and prepares participants to properly support individuals who require help managing their medications. Students will learn the fundamentals of medication safety, including understanding medication types, proper storage, documentation, infection control, and recognizing potential medication side effects or adverse reactions. The course also covers the responsibilities and legal considerations of medication assistance, as well as proper communication and reporting procedures. Through guided instruction and hands-on training, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to assist clients safely while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices. Upon successful completion, students will receive certification verifying their training in Medication Assistance Provider (MAP) procedures.
